Prior to their sold out show at Woolie's in Des Moines, Iowa, X Ambassadors visited with members of the Drack Research Lab and their families to discuss the research being done for Leber Congenital Amaurosis and other genetic eye diseases. We were able to show the guys our video featuring two brothers with Leber Congenital Amaurosis touring the Wynn Institute for Vision Research and visiting different parts of the lab where treatments and cures are being sought. Casey Harris, keyboard player for X Amassadors, is blind due to Senior Loken syndrome, a type of Leber Congenital Amaurosis, so we were excited to have the opportunity to tell him about our research. Sam Harris wore the Hawkeye hat we gave him--go Hawkeyes!
